The extractor spring was not strong enough to pull the round from the chamber, so I had to add the extractor spring upgrade kit. I've had some issues with the 6.8spc bolt I got from DPMS. The load data I have for that, shows the 200gr bullet going 1550 fps with 18gr of 4227. Atchinson 338-223 straight was the name before SSK. The brass is made by Starline and can be bought straight from them or else through the larger reloading specialty outlets like Midway and Graff and Sons. 338 bullets, you will have to trim and form brass, just like the standard 300 Whisper, but it leaves zero shoulder. 338 and stick a VLD bullet on it and you have the 338 specter.
